Watching the Toure De France - 29/06/14 12:44 PM

Can anyone give me some advice where a good spot might be to watch the 2nd leg next Sunday? I was wondering if there is a way of walking maybe to quieter spot being as it is walking country?

The map here may help, you can zoom in. I guess that parking will be the main problem especially where there are steep ascents. Even roads not on the route have closures and parking restrictions. Good luck. I hope that it is a success and that Yorkshire is shown in all it's glory.

I went to see the finish at Harrogate today. I have never seen so many people on bikes, they were even causing a traffic jam afterwards. The atmosphere was really good all day, I was there for about 5 hours. The biggest cheer, apart from when the riders came, was for the Yorkshire Tea truck that came through with the caravan. Shame about Cav crashing, I don't know how bad it was at the moment - I hope that he is OK.

Must have been a sight seeing that lot come belting through
Swaledale !

Any Pennine Wayers out there this week would have had a few good view points along the trail.
