hi all

i saw that the white swan in danby whiske had its own c2c wooden route sign in the bar .

i wouldn't mind having one for my garden .

does anyone know where these signs can be purchased ?

i may be able to get one made from a friend of mine .

or failing that i'll just arm myself wth a saw and drive down the A1 to richmond and pinch one (only joking).

anyone help?

cheers sid

Hello Sid

I assume you mean the fingerpost type signs saying 'Coast to Coast' with a direction arrow. If so, you could ask North Yorkshire CC who seem to have placed numerous such signs in their area of responsibility. Try searching their website - there must be a contact e mail address for such queries.

sid. May I ask why you want one of those signs ? Would you forget you had done the walk if you didn't keep one at home as a constant reminder ?

no lounge lizard not at all , when i saw one in the white swan at danby whiske on the wooden ceiling beams , i thought it would be good to have one at the end of my garden path.
there are loads of c2c stuff like t-shirts , badges and certificates but in my opinion that is just "cheap tat" unlike the route signs which i think would make a nice tasteful momento.
thanks journeyman i will try that out.

cheers sid

Have you not tried that place in Robing Hood's Bay that does personal wooden signs?
