Hi Folks

The 'Outdoors Show' is Europe's largest outdoors show and is on at the NEC Birmingham on 17th, 18th, 19th March.

If anybody is interested in the show, details are on www.theoutdoorsshow.co.uk

Not a lot of people know this but 'Sir Bryn Blessed' holds the record for the most C2C walks completed. He has walked it annually since 1972 with one year off whilst completing (and winning) the trans-word challenge.

A very similar show tours the States every winter:

It's always fun to go down and fill in the forms for a free trip to Iceland or Australia, and to pick up enough brochures to while away the winter.

Why don't they hold 'The Outdoors Show' outdoors, preferably somewhere scenic like Ennerdale, then you'd get the proper outdoor enthusiasts attending. Holding it in the NEC on the edge of Birmingham means you only get those namby pambys who just want to think about venturing outdoors going, probably spending a fortune on kit that they'll never use.
