Steve - just back from the Dales - job not as good as it sounds! The walking was great but some of the people I was responsible for were unfit and a bit reluctant. However, others were keen, enthusiastic and listened to advice and instructions and had a great time! Apart from that the heat was oppressive but we did have some breeze on Pen-y-Ghent. Iím looking forward to some peace and quiet, and time with Cassie, next week. Enjoy your walk!

Wishing all of you lucky people setting out in the next few days all the very best for your walk including Heatha, Steve and Nicky - I know you will enjoy it - whatever the weather.

Hooray I did it! I didn't much like the heat wave though. We met a few people on the way but it was not as crowded as I thought it would be. I loved the 9 standard rigg day (there was no bog - heat wave). Kidsky pike was beautiful. Although I have to rate coming down as one of the worst parts. The only other icky part is the Richmond-Ingleby cross bit in the 30 degree heat. Great walk!
