Just got back from CW - glorious - though I did it in a leisurely 9, not the gruelling 4 some of you are planning - how will you have time to 'maze over the stunning views, wheeling birds, bunnies, bloomin' heather et al! Ah well each to his or her own.

Health to your walking boots!

Anyway - I want to do CW again in spring, again in no less than 9 to take in all those nesting birds and spring blossoms (a romantic at heart!).

My accommodations were all splendid, - with the gross exception of Saltburn - and everyone I talked to had their own similar bad tales of Saltburn. Does anyone know a good place to lay one's head there, or would it be best to keep walking!

Good luck to the 4 day bunch!

I see youíve not had much response to this Victoria, so I guess thereís nowhere nice to stay in Saltburn. We stayed at the campsite, so canít really comment.

I was really looking forward to reaching the town after the remote moors. Have to say I was very disappointed. Couldnít even find a nice pub in the main town! (I think thatís my main criteria for an overnight halt). The locals at the campsite didnít rate the place much either, though we did find a very nice Indian Restaurant on one of the main streets.

Hi Victoria,
Did you not try The Ship Inn or was it not b&b?
