I will be walking O.D in June this year. BBC Wales tv ran a documentary series on the walk in 2007. There isn't a commercial dvd available of the progs. Did anyone record the programmes and could burn me a copy please?
Cheers

I remember being disappointed in that series - all except for the female presenter

There is a book that followed the series (which I have), link for it on Amazon below.

IMHO the book is not worth the price tag.

Out of curiosity Downes, will you be going north-south or vice versa?

I'm doing the ODP this summer, and am still deliberating which way to do it

Downes,
I too am doing it south to north over 12 days, starting in June. However I don't have any dates planned yet and I'm still deciding whether to camp and carry my stuff or use B&Bs. There seems to be no shortage of good price B&Bs en route. I did the C2C last year carrying all my stuff and camping, but fancied an easier life this time.

Hi Steve
Yes the b and b's I've found are on average 30% cheaper on Offa than onother walks eg c to c.When I asked one owner why, she said we wouldn't get the business if we charged more.

If you're staying at Guest Houses along the route you can save money by taking your own bath plug and thus avoiding the need to hire one at an exorbitant rate from the proprietress.
