Village rumour has it that there will be new landlords at the Buck from 15th September - I'll let you know if it looks like an improvement!

The "Village Restuarant" was most enjoyable, we didnt have to go anywhere near the Buck Inn.

Bad news - it seems the buyers have backed out - expect the Buck to continue to decline.

Thanks Buckdener, let's all keep our fingers crossed this time. I called in the Buck out of curiosity a few weeks ago. I stuck to the grimy carpet and for the first time for many years I bought a pint of Black Sheep beer and left most of it.

aah Right, was just going to say i have stayed in Romany Cottage(Great B&B), and found the "Village Restaurant" a very nice place to have a meal and a Drink.
No Need to worry about the Buck.

Ah, yes, but I like hand-pulled beer and the Village Restaurant only sells keg. The White Lion at Cray has an excellent cellar, however!

Heatha,

John, at the Village Restaurant, now sells Worthington Creamflow.

Journeryman, Well that's a good enough reason to avoid the Village Restaurant.

LL,

It's matter of taste mate - Worthington Creamflow is better than the Castlemaine he used to serve - howvere, the beer doesn't detract from a very good traditional meal. Try it.

Sorry, Journeyman, but Worthington Creamflow's keg and not hand-pulled. I know John's food is good. Fine. I'll eat there but I still want a decent pint afterwards!
