Flying Scot,
You are of course absolutely correct, taken from Ben Macdui about 3/4 mile from the summit looking across the Lairig Ghru to Cairn Toul and Sgoran Lochain Uaine. All done with other Munro's during a 14 hour circuit.
Dave.

Is that really the Kyber Pass? If so, it looks nothing like I thought it would. To save me going to an atlas and looking, what altitude is that?

As we are getting into exotic photos...where is this one taken and what trail were we following?

Oldun: Your calling it "exotic" makes me think this might be the Otter Trail in South Africa.

Jean, you are very close. It is part of the Whale Trail near Pletenburg.

Oldun: Yes, I thought I recognized that fynbos vegetation. We hadn't booked the Otter Trail and so walked only the first part to the waterfall and back. Near Plettenberg we did a beautiful day walk around the Robberg Peninsula. Did you like the Whale Trail?
