I bumped my knee and it's been sore for about two weeks. I wear an ACE bandage and take some Tylenol for the pain. My range of motion is pretty good but it's a little painful to climb stairs. Wife wants me to go to doctor but I would like to give it more time. Suffice it to say, I would be just a little nervous having tea at Blacksail right now and contemplating Loft Beck.

Any recommendations to aid my recovery or should I just go to the doctor?

Give your knee plenty of exercise to get it working again, and morphine can be very good as a painkiller if one is needed.

Sometimes when you bang your knee, it can cause some inflamation underneath the kneecap. Wearing an Ace bandage will put more pressure on the Kneecap, increasing the inflamation. Ace bandages and the like aid in supporting the Knee, however if it is not unstable ther is no point in wearing one and may be leading to agravating the injury further imo.
