Googled dragonfly tent and got this

Trail Magazine said in their April 2005 review of the standard:
"Light, tight, precious little bother to erect, durable material
An excellent tent for lightweight duo tenting in most conditions
The Dragonly is far better than many would expect (and a lot better than many otgher companies hoped no doubt). In fact you would be forgiven for thinking Mountain Equipment had been making tents for years
ME has produced a well thought out practically designed tent that's had the full treatment"

Sounds OK to me

Indeed - the reviews by owners/users on the Outdoors Magic web-site are of a similar vein - so I'm not sure where my friends damning reports came from (I'll ask him now, while I remember.) The only minor problems I can find on various web fora are a leaking porch seam, and not too good if you're over 6'4".

May be my friends opinion is wrong (Gasp!) - Now rushing outside to see if the sky has fallen down!

At last - A response from my walking buddy (A huge sucker for gadgets, gizmos, anything lightweight and/or titanium) who reads all/every review published

"I read a second review somewhere describing the tent after a few outings
- many problems were encountered, reviewer not very impressed!"

Sorry its not very specific - but we're walking this weekend and may discuss this more, while 'rehydrating'. (If I can remember anything about what was said the morning after!)
