Passed a bloke this morning on St Bees cliff tops finishing off after doing a East to West crossing and he said he had just passed the 8 day mark as he started to walk along the cliffs, he also said he passed a bloke a few days ago who was hoping to do a 5 day crossing which I took it to be you Dave,he said you told him you were behind schedule and you did not know if you could make the time up,sorry you had to abort the walk with your blisters.

Yes Howie, there were not many traveling the other way. The guy you mention is almost certainly the one I met just after Hawswater close to Highpark building. He too carried an Osprey sac. He told me he had done the national 3 peaks and walked in between, a total of 600 miles. He also looked to be of similar age to myself but retired.
Dave.

The blisters have dried up (well mostly) and are hardly hurting now. Ive had my feet on ice packs to bring the inflammation down. I shall decide in the next day or so whether to excavate them or not.
The really annoying thing is that my left knee is really sore. I twisted it before the off whilst decorating and thought that it was better after a few days. However my Hamstring tendons behind my knee have been strained and they are very tight and sore which has also set the knee off again.
Reaching the overhead luggage rack for my sack. A guy in the seat I had to reach over decided to get up as I was just taking the weight, forcing me slightly to one side. I immediately felt a heavy 'Twang' in the tendons behind my knee, and limped off the train. Damn typical, I thought.
We went back to Grasmere today to recover some gear that I had left at the B&B there, everything in the wash now.
Dave.

Yes Dave that was the same guy, he was carrying a Osprey rucksack I think it was green & grey, he told me he packed work in in 2002, sold his house and car, he said it took some nerve when he handed his house keys over to the estate agent and sort of lives on the move. Pleased to hear your blisters are on the mend.

When I access the site it shows that I need to input my User name and password. So, no it doesn't work. The previous link last week just said that it didn't recognise your tracker link.
