Hi, I have recently had this daft notion of wanting to walk the Kili trek. Has anybody done this? My main concern is the last day where you can spend up to 12-14 hours walking. My max lately has only been 7hrs although in May I was out for 8 having done a long circular route on Ben Nevis covering abut 14 miles. I have osteoarthritis in one of my knees so I would probably have to stock up on megga pain killers, but I would really like to know from someone who has done it, how fit you really have to be. Is the last day as bad and hard as they say?
