...nothing on his Facebook page. Been trying an extra digit in case last digit was accidentally clipped off in posting as the feed looked a tad shor ter than the last feed iD given.
Maybe something cropped up last minute and the feed needs SPOT to be switched on to activate that iD.
I'll check twitter... though have car to mend, work to be done and an Orange to contact...

Phew, just got in... spent last 7 hrs down at garage! - looks like car had a faulty coil - as fitting another coil seems to have cured it...

So Dave could be at Patterdale or not set off then..?

Just tried his work no. again - his answer phone message says he won't be returning calls till Monday, so probably not changed his plans. Looks then as though the SPOT link is bad..? or maybe device is not sending signals..?
Could be he's a had a transport issue and postponed till tomorrow though. Fingers crossed...

Well, Dave could be at Grosmont now... if his feet held out I reckon, just from experience, he'll knock a few hours off his previous and could be in the Bay by 3pm... dunno though, just guesswork really...

No afraid I'm not at Gromont but back home, again!
Blog to follow, but basically bad ball of foot blisters put paid to success in Gunnerside yesterday. I was not going to risk 10 or more days off work, like what resulted from the same thing, during my first sub 5 day crossing.
I have sent a query as to why the 'Tracker' link did not work, however they updated their website on the day I set out, so may be due to that.
Dave.

Bad luck, however a sensible decision which I know will have been difficult to make. My only complaint is that I had to watch TV and not your progress!

What are you like Dave..? You had us going there mate.
I suppose once you get your unique link ID that's it? ...or is there any way to test it out the day before setting off?
Tracking would be the main reason I'd want to have the SPOT and would be well miffed if the link was duff after shelling out over a hundred quid as I'd probably only use it once in a 12 month period.
Anyway, glad you made it home safe and look forward to your thoughts,
cheers
mick
