Anyone wanting to follow the racers, live on Open Tracking can do so by clicking on the link below. Starts Saturday 9th January. I am with one of the safety teams this year for the full week and hope to be back competing (mostly with myself) next year.

Some changes to the website, looks good. I'll enjoy watching their progress from my armchair. Good luck to them all. I admire them for even entering let alone having to pay for the privilege. I do realise that the cost of arranging these events so that they run safely must be considerable, despite the volunteers, so my previous comment was a bit "tongue in cheek".

Congratulations to Eoin Keith who finished in less than 4 days cutting over 15 hours off the previous record. The conditions can't have been easy with all the rain we have had lately but now it shows "However with waist deep snow reported on some sections of the latter stages of the route it will be tough and slow going for everybody". It will be good to hear from Dave at some stage how difficult the conditions were. Congratulations to all the participants for attempting this challenge - I had a good nights sleep in a nice warm bed!
