I have thought about a cycling a long distance trip but as I don't use my bike from one year to the next it would take quite a time to get cycle fit. I did a triathlon 4/5 years ago and the cycling was horrendous, I didn't realise the different muscles that cycling needed! Having looked at the Pennine Cycleway perhaps I will think about getting fit although cycling Land's End to John o'Groats would be my ambition having already walked it. To other people that read this message if you are able to send a private message then I'll try and help with any questions about the LDPs that I have walked.
