A message for Sherpa.

I know why you stopped new members being allowed to post messages however every time I look on your website there are always a considerable number of people looking at posts but few new messages. Over time I guess that there will be less people posting and the boards will become out of date and of little value.

You will obviously have a good idea whether the message boards do bring you additional customers, however perhaps as a start to allowing more to contribute you could allow customers who have booked with you to post questions or comments.

I agree wholeheartedly with Harland. I used to visit regularly and post occasionally, but in the last couple of years I've gotten out of the habit since there have been so few threads/posts.

It would be lovely to have this forum revive again!

It is nice to have a few posting options and this board was my first and has a nice feel about it. Would be good if it was a bit busier

I agree.

When I was planning my C2C, this was a real source of useful information.

As there's now no new members this will only decline.

Shame.

Latest from Sherpa on 19/6/2017:-

"Sorry but we cant update permissions for new users at present.
We are getting the following message and cant access the user database.
Hack attempt logged or corrupt member file found with extra fields [15 total for UserName Xoifhoqz ]
Hope to resolve the problem soon."

A shame, this was also my first website that I looked at and it was very helpful when thinking about my first LDP. Without the ability of new people to ask questions it must be of less value nowadays to both these individuals and to Sherpa.

Yeah, it's a shame but there were several issues with hackers etc, also mischievous posters having their bit of wierd fun.
Some doubtfull claims too - Cotswold Way, 65 hour C2C.
Wasn't it strange how Sgt James dissapeared the same time as Slowcoach, not thast I was surprised.
