Is one allowed to bike the Cotswold Way "walk"? If yes, is the path doable for bikes? Thank you.

Hi Larry,

As to your question, have a look here:
http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/cotswold/faq.asp?PageId=7

(Hope the link works.)

I can't recall many people cycling along the part of the Cotswold Way which I have done (Winchcombe to Chipping Campden), probably because most of it is restricted to walkers.

That being said, parts of the way near Chipping Campden are along dirt roads (e.g. along "The Mile Drive" on the OS map) and I did see some cyclists along a short section near North Farmcote, which is outside of Winchcombe, but most others are not. There are also many stiles to cross in certain areas.

You might have to do some research with the OS OL45 map for the northern section and piece together a route approximating the Cotswold Way where it is not along dirt roads or bridleways.

Sorry I can't help you in more detail. Perhaps others with more experience of the CW will have more information.
