Stottie. As the word "bush" has a number of connotations perhaps the Australians didn't mean what you thought when they commented "Oh dear, There's almost no bush" - especially if some of your postcards were of the saucy variety !

Golight. When the bushes have been cleared I think we will find that one of them stupidly snagged a tiger by the tail, and to get home safely we all must deal with that tiger for a long time after the ground has been cleared.
