As a woman I find the way that this thread is degrading to women, we are what we are, it's what's inside that matters.

If you could have seen the Famous Five Grannies on their coast to coast earlier this year, you would have had a great discussion, morning or not, we were not a pretty sight!!! But of course inside we were extremely happy and that shone out of our faces, especially on the day we arrived in RHB.

Let's keep it clean, and do our best to encourage people to walk, enjoy our beautiful countryside and stay fit.

Love you all.... not what most of you want, love from a granny!!!!

I quite agree that "it's what's inside that matters" - that's probably why Julia, with here pleasant manor, is doing the Coast to Coast programme not whingeing old Ann W, who I've never heard make a positive comment about anything.
If this thread has become "degrading to women" then that must be down to those who have made comments about "eye candy" or those who compare Julia to the back end of a donkey, although Sea Shore Sam just might be attracted to Ann Widdecombe, a wealthy spinster who hasn't been about as much as Julia and spends a lot of time in London.

Julia (phew what a scorcher) was being screened on top of Helvellyn about the same time as Wall street was closing following a mini-crash.

One up, one down. It's a strange world.

Here's a subject of interest: Are you having electro-shock treatment?

I am looking forward to Julia's series on the C2C,as I have enjoyed her previous programmes on Wainwright's Walks. Yes,she is a bonny lass, but I think there is a lot more to her than looks. She genuinely enjoys the walks, and she is not someone who has been on a roster of chores at the BBC,and the wheel landed on her rota to do come up to the Lake District.
I believe she will be doing the entire walk,or some of it,with broadcaster Eric Robson. It's a pity we will have to wait until spring, but then again it will whet the appetites of those doing the walk next year.

You must have been on a C2C schedule similar to mine - I finished 18th Sept.(13 days)

Met the gorgeous Ms B at keld Lodge - found her to be friendly and approachable - there again, I'm old enough to be her Dad - so didn't pose much of a threat!

Hi,Dave and welcome to the site. She might like older men - there are plenty of girls about who do!

Thanks Nimrod - Can I say how much I have enjoyed reading the banter and very valuable info that you and the others post?

As for comment re: Ms B and older men, she would make an old man VERY happy!!
