I, along with three other ladies are doing Hadrian's Wall starting 6th May 2009. Is anyone else likely to be doing it around that time. We are going East to West.

Last year five of us did the Coast to Coast and what an achievement that was. Hadrian's Wall was something that we had read about from dusty history books at school, now we want to find out what all the fuss was about!!!

Walking is one of my great passions in life..... I did say 'ONE of'.

This year I have decided to raise money for Cancer Research UK and have set up a page on Just Giving.

If you want to donate please go to the link above (copy and paste)

I have also set up a trainging page on Blogspot http://fourwalkers.blogspot.com/ so that you can see that we are out there again, test our gear and our fitness.

Best Wishes and have a wonderful walking year

Just over a week to go to the start of the Hadrian's Wall walk and we are all looking forward to it. The maps are printed (memory map) and the gps is set up ready, the spare bedroom looks like a war zone with clothes and first aid stuff everywhere. Boots are clean, water proofs waterproofed, sunscreen and hat at the ready (well you never know!). I'm doing this walk for Cancer Research UK, and if you would like to donate to this good cause please go to http://www.justgiving.com/heatherbabb.

Our start date is Tuesday 6th May at Newcastle, if you see three woman of a certain age wearing walking gear with rucksacks on their backs, it will be us.

Have a fantastic time. Looking at doing it next year sometime. Just finished the C2C ... Two weeks in April ... no rain inc one week solid sunshine ! Apart from the towns saw less than 10 people on the route !! and the goths were in Whitby on the Saturday ! .... I still have to pinch myself how lucky we were !
