Did the pennine way last year and developed a small blister, We stopped of at the pharmacy in Gargrave and bought some blister plasters (the were transparent - and were stated to act like a second skin) they were brilliant (much better than compeed)and i had no more discomfort for the rest of the walk.
I've not been able to find these anywhere else - has anyone ever heard of these or know where i can get them from?

Sorry that didn't work too well. Try Googling "blister plasters transparent"

I don't seem to see any of the Smith & Nephew Blister strips in my local shops, however, Asda do their own brand of Blister Plasters. There is 5 plasters of 45mmx72mm, clear and been reduced from 1.79 to 1.09.

There may be more than two pharmacies in Gargrave but you may wish to phone them and ask what they store:-

Boots The Chemists Branches Skipton Tel: 01756 792091 - 54 High Street, Gargrave, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 3LX
