Just one question tim we fancyed wild camping along ennerdale water but if i remember right isnt it very rough along the water with tree roots and such?? as advice welcome , thanks
Hi Lozsing. Yes, it wasn't the best ground I've ever camped on, roots, tuffs of grass and marshy soft spots but it wasn't the worst either. There was only me and my tent has a small footprint so I was able to find somewhere free of the above. I camped about 15 minutes past Robin Hood's Chair in the wooded section.
Depending on your tent size you could pitch on the stony banks which are flatter. Failing that I imagine you would be fine at the far end so long as you pitch late and leave early. HTH
