See the following, I must admit that when walking through a field with cattle in I try to stay by a wall and hope that I can still do the high jump.

That's awful. And quite chilling. Perhaps my son and I were more lucky than I thought we were. We unwittingly walked between a cow and its calf on the PW approaching Greenhead. We were on the path, but hadn't noticed that the two were either side of it. Before we knew it, the whole field was running round in circles and we were in the middle!

It very soon calmed down, and we continued on our way.

I nearly ended up doing myself a mischief in a different way as a result of the incident.

Tom I'm not surprised you nearly had a mischief, those are bloody big beasts (and those are just the calf's)

My worst was walking through the fields just outside Alston when a load of big hairy horned beasties charged towards me. Just as it touched the cloth they ran past towards the farm.

Ha ha. I didn't mean like that, but it does read back like that - should've checked it first!
