We are considering extending the day from Reeth to Richmond by 3 to 5 miles to break up the longer 23 mile day from Richmond to Ingleby Cross. Does anyone know of any good B & B or campsite which would be about 3 to 5 miles from Richmond? Brompton on Swale is about 4 miles from Richmond, is there any decent accom / campsite there?

Thanks

We are staying here.

St. Giles Farm Catterick Bridge North YorkshireDL10 7PH

http://accommodation.yorkshire.com/thedms.aspx?dms=2&pid=1549284&startday=&month=&nd=1&at=SV&sid=2&pn=st+giles

We don't set off while Sunday, so can't comment on how good it is

There's a YHA camping barn at Brompton on Swale.

I had accomodation booked in Richmond, but arrived from Reeth by early afternoon. HAd a couple of beers then pressed on to Catterick Bridge and caught the bus back to Richmond. Bus next morning got me back to Catterick Bridge for 9am start.

Worth considering if you end up staying in Richmond

Andy J,

Just found the info on the YHA camping barn....hoping to book it in the morning. Shop & Pub 100yds from the barn sounds ideal. Not to fussed about staying in Richmond....if the truth is known we are just been a bit tight really, 8 pp is right up our path.

Thanks

St Giles farm is great! One of my favourite stops on route.
