we are talking about walking, if we dont stop immigration then the coast to coast will become worn out.

Please please think before you type.

Lizard quote - "Everyone managed well enough without motorways and air travel a hundred years ago and the world would be a much bEtter place if we turned the clock back in this respect"

Lets get back to serious walking questions.

Whats the strangest animal known to have been taken on the coast to coast as companion. I have heard, and not many people know this, that AW used to keep a goldfish in his pocket which although technically is not an animal if true seems a bit bizaar.

I have a few ferrets which would, when I am lucky enough to commence the C2C I am considering bringing along for the adventure.

Must have done Steve. Luckily my ferrets are trained and will mostly walk on the lead but can also free walk too. I intend to make them carry their own kit. No free riders allowed!

I don't like ferrets much. They seem such nasty creatures

tame ferrets are great. Wild ones are troublesome. I have removed all teeth and claws and they wear muzzles just in case. They have been castrated and give them a mild sedative on a morning to help dumb them down.

They really are very quiet and cause me no trouble at all.

That's right. Wainwright was very fond of fish, and fish and chips was his favourite meal. Ah, back on topic at last !
