I'm almost ready for my sponsored walk for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust which begins this Saturday. The plan is to walk from Carlisle to Haworth, c136 miles, making use of the Cumbria Way, Dales Way, Ribble Way and Pennine Way and arrive in Haworth on the following Saturday, in time for the Railway Children Walk on Sunday.
You can read about the preparations [a diary will appear once I've finished] here:
www.blencathra.org.uk/cfwalk2009I did a similar but longer walk a couple of years ago - Hadrian's Wall and back down over the Durham fells to pick up the Pennine Way at Middleton in Teasdale and down to Haworth. Weather that time was perfect and I'm hoping for more of the same.
