The wife gets first choice on holidays unfortunately - and she's not into camping! Hence the reason for using B&Bs on the C2C. My preference though is always for wild camping.

Might be easier N to S, but I like the idea of ending at the Cape - a good climax to the walk.

Do you have a problem with my spelling or is spelling how you judge inteligence? if so then you realy are shallow liz, did it ever cross your mind I could have a disibility? you usualy find that people who canot win a debate or dont like what somebody says resort to these insults.

By the way what do you look like? xxx

Mark, I enjoy reading EVERYONE, which is why I continue to monitor this board and some of my best friends are bad spellers! So, no, it's not that. The question was truly about you owning up to something that may not have been yours, but now that you have explained it, apparently I did miss the fact that you were quoting Oldun. My apologies. My fault completely.

What do I look like? Why on earth would you want to know? But just so that you MAY know, photos of myself and my husband are here: lizcakes.shutterfly.com

We're some of those overweight Americans that you've been talking about.

Cheers.

Boat? Boat? What boat? You sent me scampering to look at my own photo page, Mark! What boat? That's me placing my boot in the Mediterranean before we walked across Italy last year. But boat? What boat?

Hi!
I want to do the C2C... but is it safe? As a gal by herself will I be set upon by marauding footie hooligans (or will they be tucked up in a Sky bar) leaving the diehards in their annual underpants to greet me at a campsite?

Yes, it's safe, but they won't be in their underpants if they know you're on the way !

Well as a football hooligan and hiker/camper I'm afraid to say that the 2 are not mutually exclusive. Hmm I'm having a case of de ja vu... isn't this how this thread started some 20 odd pages ago?

Hi Maz
You are from Sudan? Wow.
On the human element, the C2C is safe. On the natural element - fell climbing etc - it is also safe, but just take care. Perhaps the most dangerous part of the walk - a mission that cannot succeed, but dare not fail - is crossing the A19.
