A while ago a freind of mine had a very small but useful book. About a 1/4 of a size of A4 paper in size which was called something like "Pennine Way Camping and Accommodation Guide" and was year dated. Think it was a blue cover and had 50p or something as the price. Is anyone farmiliar with such a book and if so can you tell me where this can be bought from. Or if they are still available.

On another note. Does anyone know of anywhere to stay in Byrness except the Hotel or Hostel. Im looking for a B and B in the area but havn't found anything yet.

From what I can remember the campsite at Bryness had some self catering cabins or bunkhouse.Price was reasonable (at least in 2000).

Try the Ramblers Association Website at http://www.ramblers.org.uk/info/publications/pubsbooks.html which offers a free guide on accommodation etc. It's about two thirds of the way down the page.

I seem to recollect buying the guide through the ramblers association. There is also a National Trails accommodation guide. The listings varied between the two.
