met a couple from the Dartmoor area in York waiting for the bus to Helmsley and the start of the Cleveland way, they had a superb week of weather, wondered if anyone on here knew them and how they enjoyed it as first time visitors to Yorkshire and the Moors..

i met a guy on the train the other day ; said he likes walking round in - ever decreasing - circles ; i wonder if anyone on here knows him or how he's getting on. i suspect that many of you will.

i met another guy the same day who said he didn't like walking as he had two left feet ; this struck me as highly unusual but i was wondering if any of the contributors to this forum had come across this man.

his last words to me were 'bugger off and leave me alone....and you can take your red socks and bobble hat with you'

Reminds me of the duck that flies in ever decreasing circles until it disappears ........
Yes, you've probably all heard that one too.

Why? I personally have no problem with people that come all the way from Dartmoor to Yorkshire to do a walk.
