I have just collected my 2010 diary from work. Appropriately it is a Coast to Coast diary .... but the front cover is a picture of Durdle Door. This poses one or two questions ....

Have they moved the start (or end) of the coast to coast for some reason?

Have they altered the route from the south to the north coast?

Is there now a detour between Richmond and Osmotherley via Dorset in order to avoid the road walking?

i can only assume you work for a local authority.

time to start filling in the diary.....

- every friday = bun run
- colleagues birthday = nice slice with mid norning cuppa
- 12th september = xmas shopping day
- sick days = 25 allowable ( best arrange meeting to sychronise with colleagues )
- flexi before 8am = newspaper reading time
- flexi during lunchtime = never take lunch break
- 4pm = bye bye
- flexi days off = many
- friday 13th = time to review my new diary

what's happening to our public services??

your diary should be online

buy your own diary ( and quill pen )

Not just local authority, Civil Service too - and, unaware of life in the rael world, they still think they're hard done to.

How many civil servants does it take to change a light bulb?

I've no idea but lets form a working party and bog off somewhere sunny to have a long drawn out series of meetings, and still get nowhere near an answer while spending loads of public money! Then have a long endless enquiry about the futility of the previous excuse for a holiday at the tax payers expense......finally lift carpet and sweep! Pretend it never happened......
