RT good choice on wild camping, much more enjoyable and you can vary each day depending on how you feel / how much food you have.

Not sure how much experience you have, but I suggest spending a couple of nights in the Peaks before hand. I quite often go to Hayfield and head up towards Kinder Scout for a spot of camping, only a 3 hour drive from home.

I think what you can learn in even a few short trips would be invaluable with regards to required kit, navigation skills etc
