Thanks HB,

I have started to raise the leg as was suggested yesterday. I will try the ice pack too, but my knee isn't swollen or painful as such (except during the night). Where the holes (well they aren't holes anymore) are from the surgery it is spongy round the site but everything looks ok.

Janice,
My problem was inflamation inside the knee capsule. It doesnt show as swelling or fluid on the knee as its deep inside. Any stiffness is due to inflamation.
However your experiences differ from mine in that I didnt need to take any pain killers during recovery from both my ops, I wasnt in any real pain, just stiffness around the knee.

Thanks Dave. One of the CMRT members actually runs a tiny gym in the village and he has given me a fitness program. So hopefully that will help. It does look like a torture chamber though...1st time I have ever been in one.
