My surname is Lee, and no I'm not Chinese. The name Lee, (in England anyway) means 'Dweller in the clearing'. Leigh, Lea and Lee all evolved from the original 'Legh'.
Is that 'clear' enough.
Dave.

But, don't when you're in Kent, ask for Leigh by pronouncing it Lee. There it is called Lie. But, then that's southerners for you, can't even talk proper.

nope.

to be honest with you kind sir it doth not truely matter ; both could be said to be technically correct in modern usage. something to do with objective and subjective pronouns.

but i don't want to upset anyone ; you do what you like. whom really cares.

personality test :

whoman-being or homosapien?
whomus or taramasalata?
dr whom or dr who?
for who the bell tolls or a good whomdunnit by agatha christie?
who's a whomungus dimwit or whom's a very large dimwit?
who's condescending or whom's just wasting time on pointless exchanges?
