Say on trail with heavy foot traffic this can be considered as an exposure, and instead of B&B you can end up in jail

There really is no problem. Just move a few metres off the path, dip into a hollow, behind a rock etc etc. Apart from a very few places where you are likely to encounter the massed hordes (Helvellyn et al) you are more likely to encounter quizzical sheep than other people.

It usually appears on the British walkers list of worries somewhere between being eaten by cannibals and being kidnapped by aliens (unless you are around Silpho after dark of course)

Damn - I should have read this thread before posting on the "Driving Licence" one. (Hope the profanity police aren't monitoring this.)

Can't Mercado Travel & Tours help? Or the Girl scouts - they are only 300m due West of you...

Google maps is a wonderful thing...

Yes it's a troll - but you have to admit it's quite a good one.

I think that this is a culture problem.
I received information, I asked for, so thanks a lot.
I have a related question, but afraid that it receives the same attitude.
My wife read that toilet paper in Europe just sucks and can not be used. So she plans to bring with her several roles. I can expect problems with customs, so my question:
Can one purchase good toilet paper at stops on C2C?
