The hidden code concealed on page 14 of "Mein Kamp" (sic), when deciphered by the boffins at GCHQ, indicated that the rationale behind the book came to into his head whilst backpacking on Dollywaggon. He tells that he wrote it as an aid to inexperienced wild campers stuck for rest rooms whilst undertaking the C to C.
