Thats one of the main things I recall about about army life, a name and abreviation for everything. Its almost like a seperate language

Advertising themselves as 'The Professionals' the Army would have us believe that no task is beyond their capability hence my comment that "I would have thought they could have provided a vehicular bridge by now".
I fail to see how such a comment, a challenging rather than a perjorative one, can be interpreted as "running down the army" and would never have thought them sensative enough to let such a suggestion "harm morale".
