Hi Scaredovheights, I'll do my best to leave the room at Keld Lodge in a satisfactory state, although by that stage in the walk we'll probably be dead on our feet and may have to be dragged out of the bed kicking and screaming!!!
If you're walking at a faster rate, you'll probably overtake us a couple or so days afterwards, won't you?
C2Cer(s) To be honesst C2Cer the only way I'm likely to pass anyone will be in the Sherpa Van!

I love this site, it fires me up everytime I log on here when I read of next years plans. We are doing the c2c again (2nd time) starting from St. Bees on 8th June so, by the look of it, most of you will be over, home and indoors before we even get our bags packed.
Is there anyone doing it in June?? Is there anybody out there?...... I'm planning on June! although, not booked everywhere yet so I may be disapointed. Reckon I've left it too late now??

Excellent point Slogs. For example the landlord at the pub in Ingleby Cross told us that their busiest night was, as I recall, a Tuesday. This was when the majority of Saturday starters reached this point. Flexible starts would certainly help with hot spots like Grasmere and Keld.

I agree, but I'm starting my C2C on a Tuesday, and although I'm planning on doing it quite quickly, I've still found accomadation hard to organise. Thankfully it's all done now!!

June 6th start for me and yes, booking accommodation was tricky in places, particularly Reeth (Swaledale marathon on the same day?) and Ingleby Cross
