Tim, thats where I learnt the trick of sitting on a pad soaked in surgical spirit to harden things off. Surprising how sore cyclists get after 200 miles or more of continuous movement on even the narrowest of saddles. Never got over the problem of shrinkage though or the pain as the blood starts flowing again.

I once had to lead a party of 10 years old on a coastal school trip. As there were lifeguards on duty I asked their teachers if they were allowed into the sea. They agreed. The kids put on their costumes/trunks. A few minutes later a little lad came up to me and said with a worried voice ........ "they've gone real small".

Oldun's post has just made me realise what he meant!

Will have to try that .I dont suppose the wife will be too pleased if it works.
