Had a fantastic time - would urge anyone hesitating about doing the walk, to book up as soon as possible. A couple of notes

1. Disappointed that there seemed to be a lot of litter in some of the Lakes section - which included plastic and glass. Didn't notice any from Shap onwards. I can't believe that people who love walking and the countryside choose to spoil it for others. We ended up taking the litter with us where possible.

2. Anyone worried about doing the walk by themselves - please do not worry. After the Lakes section, it is clearly signposted even on the remotest of moors. And the paths are now clearly defined.

3. As well as maps etc, we used Henry Steadman's C2C guide. His hand written maps and notes with timings are spot on. His notes were particularly useful where directions weren't obvious.

4. We stayed at Keld Lodge - very disappointing, and there is no micro brewery any more.

5. We are planning to do the walk again and this time I would not stop at Keld, but would probably walk on to Muker/Gunnerside as its quite a short day. Then do Muker to Richmond possibly.

6. The choice between the low level walk at Keld to Reeth or the high level route - we would probably do the high level walk next time. Low level is lovely with beautiful scenery but after 12 miles or so, we wanted something different.
