Belated congratulations HB and Gals! Well done, and what an excellent write up. Like LWM I certainly admire your photos, -and what a pleasant surprise to see our group photo at Keld :^) So many pics have blue skies in the background!
I'm shortly setting off to do a smaller Derbyshire trail. I hope to start my C2C on 6 June 2011 doing it the 'economical' way in a lightweight tent, so I've spent most of the Summer reading gear blogs etc before assembling my "wish list" of gear. I've got the kit weight down to 10.6kg, and intend trying this out next week camping along the Limestone Trail on the lowest possible budget, own-cooked meals and bus passes. Will report back.........
Good luck on your walk Flying Scotsman, Flatlands and anyone else currently doing C2C.

Hi there runnerbeen, good to see you back on here. Glad that you like the pic of us all in Keld, how could I not put it on there when you guys made the effort to come and see us off that morning.

You have done well with the weight of your gear: does that mean that you won't be carrying any clean clothes!!! Seriously there is an art to travelling light and for some reason I just don't seem to be able to do it. I do so admire you guys who can.

Good to hear that you are making use of the old bus pass they do come in handy don't they?

Looking forward to hearing how your camping goes next week.
Best wishes to your wife from us old gals.
HB
