I'm thinking of booking for the first time, not a full walk, probably 3-4 days. I was wondering if any other users who booked alone felt that the bagage transport costs were value for money. I think 8 per day is really good value for money but I'm not yet convinced that paying the minimum charge for two bags is.
Realistically, however, I know that if I was carrying all my gear in 30 degree heat in the afternoon and someone came along and said, 'Give me 16 and I'll carry your gear for you' I would probably take up the offer.

8 pounds a day to move 2 bags to locations miles apart, sounds like bloody good value for money if you ask me. Think of how much money you'd pay for a taxi between locations that far apart, and how much more you'll enjoy the walk for not having all that weight on your back.

Dargie if it were only 8 for 2 bags, it is in fact 16 because as a lone/single walker you have to pay for the 2 bags, at least that was the information I received.

But Dargie is right someone has to drive your 1 bag 16 miles then drive back again thats 32 miles of petrol or deisel(4-5) and roughly 45mins to an hour it would mean that the driver was working for 3 I don`t think there will be many volounteers.
