Remember this time not to use the electric sander.
You know what you are like with anything that has a motor.

My feet appear to have heard about this next attempt and are rebelling as we speak.............I may have to leave them at home and do the walk on my knees.

schedule for next attempt looking like:

0: Grosmont 15m
1: Lovesome Hill 40m
2: Keld 38m
3: Measand End 36m
4: Honister (Hut) 26m
5: StBees 26m

the thinking is to get farther on while feet still okay -
based on last year's attempt there's a good chance that I can narrow that 8m gap between Cringley Bottom and Keld (though they are not easy miles and I could easily burn out by Keld...)
Day1 will put me at Lord Stones earlier, but it will be a stretch to L/Hill after a food stop at the Blue Bell IngX

Looks like I may be able to get away from the middle to the end of next week, to travel back home by Thursday before Good Friday at latest.
Schedule something like:-
1. RHB to After Wainstones 38m
2. Reeth 44m
3. Shap 41
4. Beyond Honister 31m
5. St. Bees 24m

The first 3 days may be a bit over ambitious, as not as fit as last time.
Did a 22 miler yesterday with 21Lbs on my back in the heat, 3,680ft of ascent and descent. Legs knew about it.
Heels very sore today from pressure of walking in excess of 3mph, up hill and down Dale. Didn't put Superfeet inserts in, resulting in painful left foot arch leading to Calf pain, relieved by loosening laces a fraction.
Appointment with Chiropodist tomorrow to trim off the heels etc.
Got the sac weight down to 15Lbs last night inc food and water, but no cooking kit. If the weather looks okay could lose another couple.
Mick, what do you mean by 'Hut' as in Honister?
Dave.

Dave posted last year so I should think he'll keep us up to date again.
I was getting texts on progress from twitter too - still got this one!
"dav657 David Lee
Very sore feet in the sea at RHB 1945hrs. Total of 4 days 15hrs 48min"
marvellous!

Now I'll have to work out how to follow people on Twitter as well as simply post! Very envious, though...my own five day attempt isn't until June so this should whet the appetite nicely.

Just look for the mobile link and click on 'activate your phone' (you done this as you can already tweet from mobile) click on 'your mobile settings page' to set up incoming tweets (various options can be selected)
