would that be a 'Black Adder':

http://www.extratasty.com/recipe/675/black_adder

or 'poor man's' Balck Velvet (ie champagne and Guinness)
or 'Guinness Snakebite' maybe?:

I'll give it a go!

They would have to be made with draught Guinness either way..? or would it work with cans with a widget to get a smoother mix for a home trial? It would certainly improve 'turbo cider' which can be a bit bland, being made only from sweet supermarket apple juice...

It was in my late teens early twenties that I used to go for Black Velvet, dont think I would today.
The head on it was that thick it was almost crunchy and tasted vile. The brew itself was an aquired, taste, quite bitter really. The problem was being a Mild beer drinker in those days, it was often hard to find a good pint, so I would opt for BV, instead.
Last time my son was home he got me on Magners with ice, which I like, very refreshing.
Dave.

Magners is more about advertising than cider - bit like a cross between Iron Bru and Lucozade. Sadly most supermarket ciders are about the same as manufacturers only need add around 30-35% juice to be able to call it 'cider'. Real cider fans shun the stuff!
My own is what CAMRA classify as grade A - 100% juice and naturally fermented with no additives - I got 360 litres on the go now... hic... lol

Yes Mick, I'm not a connoisseur, I just know what tastes ok, my tipple is Bacardi, any way it comes although the best kinds are increasingly harder to come by.
Bacardi - Gold, Black, Spice, and Gold Reserve are my favorites. The only one that I am not keen on is the Limon.
My mate knowing my like for the stuff, played a trick on me whilst up in the Cairngorms.
We had just arrived and were setting up a base camp at Derry Lodge. He asked if I wanted a drink of water and offered me the bottle. I took a big swig, gagged and spit it out, it was Bacardi White. He fell about laughing. That's the only time Bacardi has departed from my lips in the wrong direction.
Dave.

What you need is some Ahnyaho...(probably spelled it wrong)
I only saw it in Peurto Rico.
Got sent a bottle years later that got smashed in transit....and the postie was smashed from the fumes from the bag it got delivered in.
Oh those were the days.
As for spitting it out............don't get me started Dave.
Just promise it will never happen EVER againand we shall speak of it no more.

In Russia we filled our van windscreen washer resevoir up with vodka as there was no antifreeze available. Did the trick, as we never had iced up windows. However, we were constantly being stopped and checked by the police because of the smell.
