Sounds like it all worked out in the end. We are looking forward to walking the CW in September after our 3rd C2C and find all this information really useful, especially the bit about the curry. We have allowed ourselves 1 day to travel from RHB to Chipping Campden. Can we draw on local knowledge re the train system. Do we have to go to London or is there another way. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks
That is some journey!!! You don't want to go via London. There may be some other ways to do it, but the best I can find for you is as follows:
Number 93 bus from Robin Hoods Bay to Scarborough
RHB 9.49am Scarborough train station 10.30am
Train from Scarborough to York
Scarborough 10.48am York 11.38am
Train from York to Birmingham New Street
York 12.34pm Birmingham 2.27pm
Walk from Birmingham New St to Birmingham Moor Street
About 10 to 15 minutes
Train from Birmingham Moor Street to Stratford Upon Avon
Birmingham 3.29pm Stratford 4.21pm
Number 21 bus from Stratford to Chipping Campden
Stratford 4.45pm Chipping Campden 5.20pm
This is travelling on a weekday. Travelling on a weekend would be even harder!!!
Good luck with this – you will need it!
