Hi guys, well I can't get twitter on this computer, but at least I can give you an update. We are at Kingshouse, and it has chucked it down all day, we now have webbed feet. It has been a wonderful walk so far, with just two more days to go and then if the weather is kinder than it has been we are planning to do Ben Nevis. We have a spare day and may take a train journey somewhere.
The Bridge of Orchy West Highland Way Sleeper was a great experience and not one to be missed, it's different!

Will write up our experiences when I get home, thank you for your interest. The beer here is good.

Should have finished in Fort William by now. I wonder if they are still considering Ben Nevis.

Well here is the old gal, we had a wet walk, with rain every day; difficulty getting onto Twitter in most places; now have webbed feet! We didn't do Ben Nevis, the weather was so bad that we didn't want to chance it. Considering we finished at Fort William on Friday the 13th with no injuries we decided not to tempt fate. We had a couple of days in the Highlands, taking a trip to Oban and another to Mallaig and then on to Skye, and yes it rained the whole time.

I shall write up the details on a web page in a few weeks time and put the link on here.
Thank you Slogger for updating followers on here, and thanks to those who have been interested enough to read about three old gals strolling around the hills.

Well at least it is STILL raining in Scotland, nothing worse than it getting better as soon as you finish.

We got back yesterday from walking the West Highland Way and the Great Glen.The first weeks weather was very,very wet and we were foiled in our plans to climb Ben Nevis too by the adverse weather.The last two days walking towards Fort William should have been the most scenic of the walk but it was too wet to see anything and the camera stayed in the dry bag all day (the only thing dry about the trip !!) The good news is that the weather did improve (slightly) for the Great Glen.

sorry to read about your bad weather WHW, at least now you have an excuse to do it again!!!
I did my WHW and GGW from 22nd April - 06th May with Ben Nevis in the middle, perfect walking weather apart from two half days of light rain. Great trip apart from a couple of dodgy B&Bs and motorbikes on the trail on the last couple of days of WHW (Scottish six day trials)
