Day 10 completed.

Well, we did it! And I owe our success, in part, to your blog. I read and re-read it and I learned some things that helped us to be better prepared. I thank you for sharing your experience!

My 13 yr old daughter, Lauren, and I completed the walk in 16 days. I know that sounds ridiculously slow to most of the readers on this forum but I'm not embarrassed. We've never done a walk before and we live on a flat island with no way to train for the Lake District. (By the way, my British friend, those are MOUNTAINS, they are not hills.) Considering our circumstances, we had an enormous success.

I doubt you will have learned much from my blog...other than I am a stupid person,and I have a Dave.
