Ha, ha, quite true. I can see navigation is going to be a problem with no hills to get a bearing on, however my wife should be ok, all she needs is shops in the vicinity and she just zero's in. Dave. SHOPS????????? Nope. They have never heard of them round here. Farms. Yes. Shops. Nope.

We don't have them thar hills to navigate with, but the old rivers and a few cows and horses help!! I have posted the first tow days walking on Other Walks - Angles Way if you want to know how the land lies here. I hope you enjoy you visit, just give your wife your flexible friend and leave her to it.

Good entertaining read on your blog! I came over Nine Standards Rigg about a week earlier in mist and rain, and saw those bamboo canes with red tape on. I remember thinking,I bet a number of people are going to follow those canes,as they gradually curved off route!!!

MY flexible friend -NO chance, she has her own. This is her trip and her choice. It's just a break to cheer her up after she suffered an Epilepsy relapse a couple of weeks ago. She had gone 12 years completely free of any type of seizure, then had two bad ones, out of the blue one evening and spent twp nights in hospital. The frightening thing was, I couldn't get to her at first, as she was on the floor in the bathroom with her head right behind the door and in such a position that she could had suffocated, had i not managed to get my hand in and turn her head. Two nights beforehand I had been on an overnight non stopper walk, and I dread to think the outcome if it had happened while I was away. Needless to say I won't be going on any overnighters for some time. She if fine now, she soon bounces back and is looking forward to our trip. Dave. I hope Mrs Slogger recovers soon. And your bank account soon after. All the very best to your spouse and your wallet.

Dave, Sorry to hear about the wife's problem, lets hope she recovers and is clear again for many more years. Sounds like a very scarey episode for both of you. Enjoy the time away. Les
