Congrats Beanie.
I felt a little low afterwards, until I realised how many new friends I had made who had had the same experience.

So you are now officially a "Beanie" there, done that Coaster.
Let me know when you have put a blog up.......because you just have to share it with everybody.

Hope you are blister free soon.

My feet appear to have heard about this next attempt and are rebelling as we speak.............I may have to leave them at home and do the walk on my knees.

No idea how you managed to write so much, all from memory or did you keep a laptop with you on the trip?!

Good write up though, enjoyable.

I am a truck driver by trade,so spend hours in my own company.
It means I talk to myself alot.
You can always tell a truck driver when you meet him. He never shuts up.
I just transfered my inane mutter to the written word and the blog was born.I also kept a diary that I wrote each evening, and used it as notes to flesh out and remind.
See, I'm off again........
I hope you enjoyed the blog though.I did,and I wrote it.
That is praise indeed.

CAn anyone tell mr why, after three months,my heels are starting to hurt again.
I have not even thought about putting the boots back on yet,but if I wander round town for a couple of hours in my walking shoes, even with gel insoles,by the time I get home,my heels are fit to die.
Help!
Will they recover in 20 months?

Has the walk led to development of hard and thick skin on the outer corner of the heels. I suffer from this. It is the heel trying to protect itself for future punishment.
The hard thick skin then presses on the softer underlying tissue causing pain.
I have been applying Compeed Heel cream for the last couple of months and my heels are now in the best condition than they been in years.
Walked a fast paced Yorkshire 3 Peaks today in the heat, and no heel or foot discomfort at all.

SC. NO stones. Chucked inthe sea at RHB
Dave. All the hard skin that developed has gone.
The pain seem to be at the front of the heel pad,and between the pad and the heel bone.
