Are they going to die?

I drink from rivers and streams all the time when in the hills and have done for over 50 years. However I usually leave it until higher up than Little langdale Tarn, although have on occasions taken stream water lower down with no ill effects.
The only time I have suffered bad effects from water was in Nepal, probably due to the water in Tea from a Tea House not being boiled long enough. Ended up with Asian Cryptospiridium, a bit like a tornado ripping through your intestines for three weeks. Became an expert at making a 'Plug' and improvised Nappy.

Okay.
I hope it's later rather than sooner.
Much like myself.

RIGHT. 2013 is now officially a go with throttle up.
So back to planning.
Where do I start.
Oh yes.
Ruck sack....requires work.
Tent. Check
not much else. Check.

This reads remarkably like your first post, some 62 pages ago.
Please excuse my impertinence - no offence intended - but do you intend taking us through the whole rigmarole again?
Kind regards

Probably as he most likely wants to get it right this time!!!!!?
RT,
Re your question about stream water.
I passed over that bridge on Sunday with the stream well up after continuous rain.
Althoughas stated I drink from streams all the time, I would be cautious of that one there, as it is too low in the valley for me.
Would probably be alright, but I would only use it if desperate, or if I could boil it before use.
Are they going to die - No, worst is a rush to the loo, where they could be for some time.
Dave.

You must start a new thread ........ "Return of the experience walker" (or similar)

I can't srart a new thread. This one hasn't been deleted yet.....
As for the return of the experienced walker. Trade descriptions Act, and all that.
The return bit would be the only right bit in it.
As for getting it right this time,Dave.
You could be correct.
But I don't suppose I did too bad last time, considering.

But slowcoach is probably right.
Time for a new thread........

Total Novice.Signing off.
Fresh Coaster, signing on.
