Our flight arrives about 8am so we were thinking of catching a bus or train to close to the start of the walk then heading out. I figure by the time we pick up baggage, clear customs and get to the start of the walk it will be about noon. Does this seem feasible? Our guide book does give a route from downtown Glasgow to Milngavie so if nothing else we could do that section. We're also thinking of making side trips from some of the overnight spots such as Rowardennan to walk up Ben Lomond. Any other suggestions for side trips not to be missed?
Thanks, Rosemary

Frequent buses go from the airport to the center of Glasgow and the train station.
Train are quite frequent to Milngavie (25 min?) so you should not have a problem.
Do stop at Glengoyne Distillerie, but then, you might not make it to your night's lodging. Check out some of the deviations on our walk at:

Have a great time.

Hi Gregg
I have read your journals and enjoyed them so now I'll go back and make some notes about the route. I think I sent you a message on your blog but possibly it didn't get to you. If you're up in our neck of the woods send me a message and we'll take you around.
Thanks for the reply. We are looking forward to the walk.

I agree with Gregg - but I'm sure you'll be at the start before midday. Where abouts are you headed to that first day?
